Everyday we learn about new cyber threats and last year alone 73% of UK businesses were affected by ransomware attacks.
According to the ‘2022 Cybersecurity Almanac’ the cost of cyber-crime is estimated to hit $10.5 trillion by 2025.

  1. Not restricting access – All employees will have varying needs and access to files. Allowing all staff access to everything you are potentially opening up the network to criminals.
  2. Allowing lateral movement – Criminals get access to one system and then move into more sensitive systems. Criminals will work their way through systems gaining more information and growing the risk for your business by potentially getting access to passwords and bank details.
  3. Not planning and protecting – If your business works closely with your IT department to plan and protect, then you are less likely to face attacks from the start. Having a plan in place will help you prepare and respond correctly which will limit the damage.
