Broadband speeds are crucial to home working, but your home internet connection may not be as fast as what you’re used to in work, so here are some tips to help:
Where possible, connect directly to your router with an ethernet cable rather than using the WiFi. If you’re unable to do this, then try to work as close to the router as possible for a stronger signal.
Reduce the amount of streaming / downloading by other members of your household when you are working – services such as Netflix can take up a lot of bandwidth!
If your router hasn’t been rebooted for some time, then switch it off for 5 mins then back on again.
